Boating Info

The waters surrounding Bluewater Key® and most of the Lower Keys coastal waters are very shallow – 1 to 3 feet deep. Generally, boats must not draft more than 18 inches in order to make it across the bay reef from Bluewater to the open waters of the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico.

BWK makes no confirmations as to whether a particular boat will safely maneuver the waters around Bluewater and the Lower Keys. It’s the responsibility of the boat captain to make this determination.
